The City of Norman stays festive year round with many holiday events happening! Here is a summary of some of the special events happening in December around town.
Sooner Mall is Santa's home base in Norman. You can find him every day in the J.C. Penney's wing through December 24th. Santa is also hosting some special events during his stay at Sooner Mall. Join him with your furry friends on Monday evenings through December 11 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for Pet Portraits with Santa. Santa will host "Ugly Sweater Night" on December 1st and a holiday PJ party on December 8th. More details about events at Sooner Mall can be found here →
Beginning on December 2nd, Campus Corner will be hosting their Holidays on the Corner event series each Saturday in December, featuring either Santa Claus & the Grinch. Stay up to date on all events on Campus Corner here →
The Norman Parks & Recreation Department will host 2 holiday events this year. Winterfest, a new event, will be held at Legacy Park on Friday, December 1st from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Santa will also be in attendance and available for free photos. The 26th annual Andrews Park tree lighting ceremony will be at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
In Downtown Norman, the 2nd Friday Art Walk will be extra merry as the December event will last for two nights. On Friday evening, the new lights across the 100 east block of Main will be officially turned during a small celebration.
The Kiwanis will host their annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Norman High School Commons.
On Saturday evening, the will trek down Main Street (from Norman High School to Crawford) on December 9 at 5:00 p.m.
Also on Saturday, December 16th at 6:00 p.m., Lohmann’s Good Things will host the Norman Community Menorah Lighting & Open House.
